Very nice, helpful, sweet people. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Made us feel that we were home. Breakfast was very good. Wished we could have stayed more nights. What a B&B is supposed to be like.Nigel And Lou Mathew - United States (June, 2015)

My husband and I LOVED the Carraig Liath House. It was so easy to find the others we stayed in were not and the house was lovely. We had more options for breakfast here than anywhere else. Frances was so helpful in giving us directions and suggestions on where to go. We loved staying on Valentia Island and when we return to Ireland, we will be staying at the Carraig Liath House again!Shana Cappel - United States (October, 2014)
Francis was extremely friendly and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms clean & comfortable, breakfasts excellent. Ample parking. The house is ideally placed on Valentia island and we were in walking distance of a very good bar & Restaurant at Portmagee on the mainland. We were extremely fortunate with the weather during our stay and the views were superb.Delyth Houlihan - United Kingdom (September, 2014)

I can really recommend this beautiful B&B to everybody. Francis is such a wonderful, nice and helpful host and she makes you feel like being at home. She offers to pick you up from the pub if it is raining, you get a homemade cake in the afternoon before leaving … you are not guest at this place, you are treated like a good friend of the family. The rooms are beautiful, clean and have nice furniture. The view from the B&B is breathtaking. I am sure that this is one of the best B&Bs Ireland has to offer.Richard Steurer - Austria (June, 2014)
Great place to stay, especially when you plan a trip to Skellig Islands because it's near the harbour. Nice house with clean rooms, good breakfast Irish and a friendly Frances.René Schneiders - Netherlands (June, 2014)

We traveled from NY to Cahirciveen for a family Christening & stayed for 3 nights at Carraig Liath House. Couldn't have been happier. Location was perfect & views were breathtaking. We walked across the bridge one evening for dinner in Port Magee. Bedroom & bathroom were spacious, immaculate & very comfortable. Owners are the nicest people! Also served the best coffee! Highly recommend.Ann - United States (March, 2014)
Could not speak more highly of our host Francis. Nothing was too much trouble even when she was so very busy. We had the best breakfasts at Carraig Liath in our fourteen days of travelling Ireland and the accommodation was excellent. Definitely plan to go back and highly recommend this B&B.Ann & Patrick Casey - Australia (October, 2013)

My wife and I had an excellent three night stay at the Carraig Liath House. It's set in a perfect location, overlooking the strait separating Valentia Island from the Kerry Peninsula. It's just a short bridge walk across from Portmagee. The drive around Valentia Island is very picturesque and the walk up to Bray Tower, not far from Carriag Liath was the best on the whole trip to Ireland. Frances was a warm, inviting, hospitable host, with an excellent breakfast menu.Larry J Houff - United States (August, 2012)
