I am very pleased with the accommodation in the Mountain View B&B. The room was spacious and warm. I think it was heated even during the night, which is not the case with most other B&B in Ireland, where the central heating is switched off after 22.00’, but I am not sure about that. Anyway, I had a perfect sleep in an absolutely quiet environment. Breakfast was very good and having breakfast was an amazing experience, looking out through the dining room glasses to the gorgeous Irish country landscape. I enjoyed looking at the birds gathering to eat at the feeding sites placed by the owner in front of the dining room and I was amazed to see a hare running in the garden around the house. It was a wonderful experience. That said, I had a big trouble finding the house. My GPS couldn’t find it, either through its name or its address Redhills or Mullinavarnogue, a mis-spelling in the web posting. So, I had to call repeatedly to the owner of the house for guidance, but her efforts to help me were unsuccessful possibly because I was too tired to understand and follow her instructions after a very long journey. Fortunately, the husband of the owner drove his car and met me at the place I was, an act which I appreciated a lot. To help visitors find this nice, quiet and remote B & B , I give the co-ordinates of the house, as registered by my GPS: N 54o 05.635’ W 07o 19.248’ . Alternatively, you will find it on your way from Drumakeenan to Mullanavarnoge right spelling on your left hand.

Very disappointed with this B+B, although I was late on arrival, 10pm, there was no one about and had to sleep in my car. I did receive an apology via an email a few days later. I think if the owner knew she was not going to about I should have received word earlier.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly and helpful with a good sized room .Quiet, rural location but just a short 10 minute walk to Redhills Village.
