Sorry for long delay. We give Murphy B&B high marks in every category. Our hosts were available and helpful and engaging. Even when we yanks couldn't figure out how to open the skylight there was only a mild poking of fun which made us feel even more at home. And the breakfasts were delicious. We’ll remember our encounter with the feisty owner, Siobhan, as she welcomed us with an ample side-helping of friendly Irish banter. The house is well maintained with a cozy feeling. Get your day started with a delicious hearty breakfast of eggs, brown beans, sausage and fruit. Prepared to your specifications. And while you eat learn some Gaelic phrases from Siobhan’s son. Grab a piece of fruit or cookies to take along with you on your days adventures. They also provide a mini fridge upstairs so you can keep items cold. This is a home-y, clean B and B in a great location. Once you find a place to park a challenge, for me, anyway, you are set to explore this wonderful town. I arrived frazzled from the drive, and Eoin was very welcoming and helpful. The dining area is cozy and I looked forward to breakfast the two mornings I was there. The brown bread and the porridge were excellent! My daughter liked hanging out in the common room and watching tv, although there is also tv in the rooms. We loved staying at Murphy B&B in Dingle!! It is located on the main street and close to everything. There are several restaurants pubs located within a 2-5 minute walk. Eoin & his mom were super welcoming and very helpful with information about the surrounding areas and town. The breakfast each morning was great as well. My husband and I stayed here in 2010 with another couple and loved the location and the owners, Siobhan and Michael, who were delightful hosts. We decided to stay here again with a different couple this visit and were not disappointed except that Michael recently died, leaving his wife and son in charge of taking excellent care of us! The hospitality is superb. One can walk out the door and turn left, right, or walk across the street to shop, visit pubs and listen to live music, take a hike around the harbor, enjoy a delightful meal. This review is for Murphy B&B, the green building. Not to be confused with Murphy Pub B&B next door. Third time staying here. Would not stay anywhere else. Great modern room for the excellent price. This was a great place to stay in the center of Dingle. Everything at your doorstep. In the evenings, we'd stroll along the pier across the street to look at the boats then hit a choice of several great pubs less than a minute walk. Our stay at Murphy's was delightful. It is within walking distance to almost every place in town, and our Hostess made a delicious breakfast was hearty enough that we didn't need anything until dinner. There is a small TV room on each floor where one can watch TV or read without disturbing others. The rooms are small but very functional. Lovely, cozy and perfect! We were traveling through making the southern loop of Ireland and this was our stop in Dingle. Murphy B&B is located in the heart of Dingle near the bay and easy walking distance to all of the fun pubs, shopping and music. We had a spectacular dinner at "Out of the Blue" which is just a short walk from the B&B. Our hosts were available and very helpful and prepared the most delicious full Irish breakfast in the morning. We were driving a car on our visit and there was very convenient parking close to the entrance. Perfect location, right on the marina. We could walk to everything in Dingletown. Our room had a view of the marina and was very spacious. I believe there is only one room with this view. The Murphy's are very helpful hosts. The breakfast was very good. If you are traveling in a group make sure to have a coordination conversation with the hosts about the best time to have breakfast and sit together. This is a great B and B. Located a block from the water. The room was large and the breakfast was great. Mike Murphy lives behind the B and B so he is able to provide top notch service. Parking can be a bit hard to find during the day, but you can park across the street. Ask Mike where the good pubs and music is. Siobhan and Michael are the best! They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. It is right next door to a pub so it can be a little loud until midnight with music. We loved it! Breakfast was very good. You really can't beat this location. The breakfast was a good Irish breakfast, and they had separate tables, so you weren't forced to sit and eat with strangers, unless you wanted to. The owners recommended restaurants which were delicious and let us know about a Gaelic football game later that day which we went to. A perfect and convenient location in Dingle. Siobhan and Michael are friendly and helpful hosts. Siobhan literally walked us to a restsurant in town to ensure we found it our first night. She's full of energy and enthusiasm. Don't miss dining at An Canteen her suggestion - delicious in every sense. Murphys pub is next door where a cold pint of Guinness or Harp can be enjoyed. My room was neat, clean and comfortable although the view was the wall of the Dingle Bay Hotel. Proprietors are very very nice. The Mr. offered to give me another room on the opposite side of the B&B after a wild party at the Dingle Bay Hotel kept many of us awake until 4 in the morning. Breakfast was served quickly and nicely - cold cereal/juices/yogurt buffet and full Irish but they were willing to make changes/substitutions. Plenty of nice hot coffee and toast. Very nice view of the bay from the breakfast room. I thought room rate for a single 70 E was too high, but perhaps that is the going rate for a room in Dingle over St. Pat's. I cannot say enough nice things about this B&B. It is extremely clean, the room was the perfect size, conveniently located right in the main area of pubs/shopping/the water and easy to drive the ring of Dingle from the free parking across the street from the B&B. Breakfast on the morning we woke up was delicious and the coffee was the best I had on our whole trip throughout Ireland! We stayed here for one night and loved it..hostess had trouble initially finding a room for us but this was soon sorted and we were given a lovely room with a large ensuite. Breakfast was more than adequate. We only needed somewhere convenient to the centre of Dingle and this place was just the ticket. The owners of this B&B, Micheal & Siobhan, do an excellent job of everything here! The B&B was meticulously clean, all items in great working condition, and the rooms spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful, especially Siobhan's homemade brown bread, yum! Micheal & Siobhan were kind and very attentive to each of their guests needs. The location was prefect, right across the street from the bay, and an easy walk to everything in town. Free parking is available close by on the streets. Be aware you will need to walk up steps, as there is no elevator/lift as was the case everywhere we stayed in Ireland. However Michael came running to help me and carried my suitcase to the room, bless him! Be prepared to pay in cash, as no credit cards are accepted. This was an outstanding value and we would definitely stay here again. We had a great stay at Murphy's B&B. Siobhan was a great host! She was very responsive to all inquires I sent via email before our stay. The location is unbeatable if you want to enjoy Dingle, and the rooms are very tidy and clean and the shower warm. The beds might be a bit hard, but its nothing that a pint of Guinness won't wash away. Good value for what you get and the location. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in Dingle. Murphy's B and B was our favorite stay in Ireland. The family who runs it gave us so many fun reccomendations for things to do in the area, and they doted on us as well. The sweet brown Irish bread was baking every afternoon and every morning. It was Murphy's that has made us want to return to Dingle for a much longer visit. Too noisy, wouldnt stay there again. Could hear too much noise from room above us, creaky floors and all the rest, was not a good experience. Alot of noise in the morning in the hallway, and in case anyone might sleep out, mega hoover was taken out at 10.20am.
